Llopart raises more than 5.000€ against childhood cancer
The winery has delivered the annual proceeds of the Most Flor de Xarel·lo to the charity foundation Amics Joan Petit, coinciding with the solidarity concert of Ramon Mirabet in Llopart.
Subirats, April 2023 – Llopart handed over this Saturday the solidarity donation corresponding to last year to the foundation Amics Joan Petit – nens amb càncer (Friends of Joan Petit – children with cancer). Joan Torner, president of the organization, collected the check for €5,335 coinciding with the celebration of the solidarity concert of Ramon Mirabet in Llopart, organized within the framework of the Festival MusicVeu of the Pinnae Foundation, which this year destines the benefits to this same cause.
The funds raised by Llopart come from sales of Most Flor de Xarel·lo from the 2021 vintage, the winery’s solidarity product, and the book illustrated by Pilarín Bayés Little Stories: The Llopart, a viticulturists family.
The Amics Joan Petit – Nens amb cáncer foundation aims to raise funds for research, support and care for children with cancer and their families, and is working with the Hospital de Sant Pau, Sant Joan de Déu i Vall d’Hebrón in Barcelona, the Germans Trias i Pujol in Badalona, the Parc Taulí in Sabadell, the Arnau in Lleida, Sant Joan in Reus and Joan XXIII in Tarragona.
The project was born about ten years ago, with the first bottled vintages of Most Flor de Xarel·lo and is part of the product line La Vida Secreta de les Plantes (The Secret Life of Plants). The must is made from 100% Xarel·lo grapes and is naturally alcohol-free and without additives.
