Our CORPINNAT Sparkling Wines

At Llopart we have been making quality sparkling wines since 1887, firmly defending the traditional method and wine craftsmanship, respecting sustainability and seeking the authenticity of long-aged sparkling wines.
Since the beginning of 2019, our bottles bear the name CORPINNAT, the collective brand of which we are co-founders and which distinguishes the great sparkling wines made in the heart of our region, with 100% organic, local grapes, harvested by hand and vinified entirely on the property.

Llopart Original 1887

Single Estate Les Flandes
Brut Nature · Aged more than 108 months

Llopart Original was born with the desire to perpetuate the family winemaking traditions and methods of the 19th century. Llopart Original was released in 2012, 2006 vintage, commemorating the 125th birthday of the first bottle of the family saga. Made only with grapes from the oldest mountain vineyards, located at 380 m. above sea level, where the vines grow with limited vigor but produce grapes of maximum concentration and character. Where the ancestral Montònega variety used to predominate. It is elaborated respecting to the maximum all the artisan and traditional methodology.

Presented with an exact replica of the original label of the 1887 sparkling wine, and in a wooden case, 2,938 bottles of the current 2011 vintage have been produced in a limited and numbered edition.

Manual harvest
The harvest of the three local varieties from the vineyards of Les Flandes is done by hand, and the grapes are whole-pressed in order to maintain their properties to the maximum. We ferment the musts at low temperatures to preserve the wine’s freshest aromas.

Aging in cork
The base wines are bottled at the beginning of the year and the bottles are placed in the aging cellar, where, at a constant temperature and humidity, in the dark, they will rest for a minimum of 108 months. After the aging time, we move the Original bottles to the racks, where we proceed to the manual riddling of each one of them. After a month of manual stirring, we disgorge to remove the wine mothers, and we cork the bottles with the final closure.

Original 1887 is the result of three old vines located in the area of the Heredad Can Llopart, which is called Les Flandes. It is composed of the Ticu vineyard, planted in 1935, of Montònega; the Pere de Can Ros vineyard, planted in 1934, of Xarel.lo; and the Isidoro vineyard, planted in 1956, of Macabeu.

Les Flandes is an enclave formed by an amphitheater of vineyards, raised on vertical walls of limestone rock more than 12 meters high, from the Miocene era (16 million years old). In this place, there are unique, privileged and perfect characteristics for the production of grapes with the maximum expression of the uniqueness of the place where they come from.

It is an area surrounded by an immense lung of Mediterranean forest of pines and oaks with great biodiversity and where there is a predominance of countless aromatic plants. This is why we speak of the Llopart mountain vineyards.

Discover Les Flandes

Llopart Original has great aromatic depth, with tones of ripe white fruit and honey, and a notable presence of aging notes such as brioche, toast, butter and nuts. Powerful flavor, rounded acidity, very rich. From the Montònega, the predominant variety in its blending, we can extract extraordinary notes of aging and touches of complex evolution, while retaining a good freshness and subtle liveliness. It has a delicate and persistent aftertaste, with great length and a voluminous finish.

Llopart Ex Vite

Single Estate Les Flandes
Brut Nature · Aged more than 96 months

Llopart Ex·Vite is considered the emblem of Llopart’s long-aged wines. It combines the history and legacy of the winery and is named after the family motto Ex Vite Vita (life comes from the vine). It ages majestically with dignity and elegance. The special topping-up liqueur it incorporates is made following a genuine oenological formula from the end of the 19th century. Limited edition of 3,142 in the 2013 vintage.

Ex·Vite is the fruit of two old vines located on the site of Les Flandes, at Can Llopart Family Estate: the Pere de Can Ros vineyard, Xarel·lo vines planted in 1934, and the Isidoro vineyard, Macabeu vines from 1956.

Les Flandes is an enclave formed by an amphitheater of vineyards, raised on vertical walls of limestone rock more than 12 meters high, from the Miocene era (16 million years old). Llopart Leopardi

Mountain vineyards
Brut Nature · Aged more than 60 months

Made in honor of Bernardus Leopardi, the family’s first winemaker, documented in a Latin parchment manuscript from 1385, Leopardi is a Corpinnat Brut Nature aged for more than 60 months, the result of blending the best single-varietal wines from the flagship grapes of our estate: Xarel·lo, Macabeu and Parellada. Its elegance and delicacy are the reflection of a respectful work in the vineyard, of organic farming and manual harvesting; of a rigorous elaboration that seeks the highest quality, and of the patient gaze of time, which marks its passage in the wine. Llopart Leopardi was released in 1983, after more than four years of aging. Six centuries later, and having been on the market for 40 years, Llopart Leopardi is today synonymous with family tradition and winemaking excellence; the name of a benchmark Corpinnat recognized by expert tasters from all over the world.

Located in a singular enclave, in the municipality of Subirats, in the mountainous area of our region, Can Llopart’s estate comprises 500 hectares between vineyard and forest at 360 meters of medium altitude. The 102 hectares of our own vineyards are the essence of our personality. We cultivate the land organically, according to the parameters of sustainable cultivation, with the utmost respect for the environment.

The peculiar geological configuration of our estate, with its varied orography in the form of slopes and terraces, and with a shallow soil depth, gives rise to vines with a large root extension, limited vigor and one of the lowest yields in our wine-growing area.

The grapes are harvested manually and whole-pressed grapes to maintain the maximum of their properties. We ferment the musts at low temperature to preserve the freshest aromas in the wine. Once all the wines of the vintage have been produced, the Llopart family meets to taste and evaluate the different single varietals obtained from the entire estate, vinified separately according to varieties and vineyards. For the Leopardi, the best wines of the vintage are selected, taking into account their profile and ageing potential. Once decided, the base wines are bottled at the beginning of the year and the bottles are placed in aging cellars where, at constant temperature and humidity, in the dark, they will rest for more than 66 months. After the aging time, we move the bottles of Leopardi to the racks, where we proceed to the manual riddling of each one of them. After about a month of stirring, we disgorge to remove the wine lees, and cork the bottles with the definitive cork.

Llopart Brut Nature

Mountain vineyards
Brut Nature Reserva · Aged more than 24 months

In the 1950s, Pere Llopart i Vilarós, following the family tradition, contributed to give prestige to the artisan sparkling wines and consolidated Llopart as a high quality wine producer. He wanted his wines to be the true expression of the essence of the Llopart estate and its vineyards. This continues to be Llopart’s goal.

His project lead to the creation of one of the first Brut Nature produced in our country, inspired by the first bottle made in 1887 and from which it takes the design of the label, depicting the family estate.

Dosage
Medium Dry

Bright yellow-golden color. Extensive aromatic tones of toffee, citrus and shades of ripe fruits. On the palate it is creamy and full, and the balanced acidity promotes a fresh and intense character. Soft and persistent aftertaste. Nèctar Terrenal is especially appropriate for desserts, but also with bittersweet plates like foies and blue cheeses.
