Harvest 2017

“Harvest classified as EXCELLENT for the quality and health of the grapes. Low yield, similar to the previous year, 25% below the average of the last 20 years.”

“This vintage was marked by early harvesting of all varieties due to the accentuated heat spikes and the lack of rainfall during the vegetation/ripening period.”

“Very little intervention in the vineyard.

“We started the harvest in mid-August with the main varieties of Can Llopart. We began picking up the Macabeo vines on August 14, the Xarel-lo on August 15, the Parellada on August 25, and the Monastrell on August 31. The last of the varieties to be harvested was Sumoll in the second week of September.”

“This year we have harvested 98 hectares of our own vines, distributed in 163 plots, plus a small percentage from old vines of trusted growers that we supervise. We have entered our winery around 800,000kg of grapes for sparkling wine and 70,000kg for still wine.”
