Ex Vite Brut 2008 obtained 98 points in the Decanter prestigious tasting. This sparkling wine, recently recognized with the highest distinction within the Cava Appellation of Origin, Single-Estate Cava, has won the Platinum “Best in show” Award.
This award comes after the excellent rating received by Robert Parker’s ranking, that granted it 92 points.
It is considered the “cavalier” flagship of the long aged cavas in the Llopart range. It ages majestically and shows great dignity and elegance.
Elaborated with the Xarel·lo (60%) and Macabeo (40%)varieties, with grapes that come from the oldest vineyards of Les Flandes dels Casots Paraje Calificado of Can Llopart Estate in Subirats. The vineyards were planted more than 60 years ago. The loamy soils rest on a majestic limestone of 12 meters of depth. For these two reasons, very limited yields are obtained in every harvest. Les Flandes dels Casots, located in an area with an altitude of 380 meters, is a place surrounded by a huge lung of Mediterranean pine and oak forests with a great biodiversity and where there are plenty of aromatic plants.
This place has unique, perfect characteristics for the production of grapes with the greatest expression of the uniqueness of the place where they come from.
The last bottles of the 2008 vintage are currently in the market, out of a total of 4,276 bottles.
